At the age of 21, he diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis [progressive muscle weakness disease] left him paralyzed throughout his life. Doctors gave him a life expectancy of 2 years. He determined to make most of the left time. Even though he can’t move and talk, he is well-known for his contributions in the field of cosmology.
He gave us the understanding of black holes and the Universe. He was a great scientist. Besides, he is also a great children’s book author. In 2014 he celebrated his 72nd birthday and at the age of 76 he died.
He will be missed not only for his contributions, but also for an inspirational human being ever.
